I had the privilege of doing an engagement session for Johnny and Danielle. Johnny gave Danielle a promise ring a month ago but told her that the "big event" would happen on her birthday. Well, we scheduled their engagement session as soon as we could and it happened to fall before her birthday. So Johnny asked me to be a part of the surprise! The day of the session we received 8 inches of snow and it was still snowing but we decided to go for it. We did studio images and then I suggested that we head to Rexburg to do some shots in areas that have some sentimental meaning to them. Little did she know that this was all in the plan! :D We went to several locations along the way and eventually ended up at the swing that they did a lot of their courtship at. I took a few posed shots and then told them I thought it would be fun to take some images of him "acting" like he was proposing. I told them I had a box and could he just pretend with the box. Johnny totally played it up and got down on his knee. When the time came for him to ask he opened the box and there inside was the ring! Boy was she shocked and I got to capture it all on film! WooHoo! It was so fun and I had tears in my eyes too. I am such a sap! It was so fun to be apart of the fun! Congratulations you two!
