Senior "J"- Fall session | East Idaho Senior Photographer

One of the senior sessions we offer is an "all-seasons mini sessions". Our seniors get to have a one hour mini session each season- summer, fall, winter and spring. It is so fun to get to capture images of the seniors throughout their senior year. This is one of our seniors on our "all seasons mini sessions" this year and we just recently did her fall session. We had so much fun shooting images in the leaves and with all the beautiful fall colors. And thankfully we timed it just perfectly, weather wise. I'm glad we didn't have it scheduled for this week, since it is rainy and is suppose to snow this week. :)

Here are a few from her session...

Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. P | East Idaho Wedding Photographer

What a PERFECT evening this was to do a session! And even better with such an amazing couple!  I was so excited to do this couple's wedding couple session. I LOVE doing "Day after" sessions because the couples stress level is gone and the dress has already been worn and trashed at the reception so they aren't worried anymore about getting dirty. It makes it so much easier to be creative. We had so much fun and the sky was so amazing! Here are just a few from their session....

Can I just say- LOVE!!!!!

Engagement session with D&B | East Idaho Wedding Photographer

I recently had a really fun engagement session. This couple are soooo much in love and I loved being around their energy and happiness. They won my free gift certificate at a bridal fair this summer and I had so much fun getting to know them. They have so many interests that they share together and we had fun incorporating their interests in their session. I especially loved adding in their guitars to some of the poses. I LOVE being around couples who are so much in love.

Thanks, Dan & Britany! You two are awesome!!! Here are a few images for a sneak peek of your session. :)

Sweet Newborn Boy | Baby Junior | Idaho Falls Newborn Photographer

This little guy was a little older then most newborns I do but he was a little angel. And his HAIR!!!! I LOVE how unruly it is. Mom tries to get it to lay down and it just wants to stick right back up. I can't get over how adorable it is! I LOVE doing newborns. I love their sweetness, softness, and that baby smell. :)

Here are a few images from his session....

We did a few images with "big brother" too. So cute!!!!

Jared & Kassie Wedding Day | East Idaho Wedding Photographer

Congratulations to Jared & Kassie on their wedding! I had so much fun being a part of their special day. What a great couple! They are so much in love.

I LOVE this candid moment I caught of the bride and groom with Grandma. Grandma is so adorable! This image just speaks of JOY!

I think this is the BEST cake smashing I've photographed yet! They were covered in cake! It was hilarious! It took both of them a while to get it all cleaned off of their faces. :)

Jared & Kassie | Fun Engagement Session | East Idaho Wedding Photographer

My job is sooooo fun! Especially when I have such an amazing couple to do pictures of! This darling couple are getting married in a week! And I am so excited to get to be a part of their special day. We had a lot of fun capturing some couple pictures of them this past Saturday. The fires have been so bad in our area that the smoke was pretty strong and the skies hazy. But even though we had a couple of us sneezing toward the end I still think we got some amazing images! Now to get the smoke to blow away by Saturday. :)

Here are a few from their recent session.

Steps to making the perfect cowboy hat | East Idaho Wedding Photographer

I LOVE when I have wedding that I get to learn new things. And at this wedding in Mackay, Idaho,  I learned how to form the perfect cowboy hat. I had no idea that these type of hats start out rounded and the person who is going to wear it actually forms it to their liking. I was fascinated by the steps of preparing it to be worn. I wanted to share some of the images I captured and the steps to achieving the final product.

Step 1- Start with a rounded hat.

Step 2- Take the rounded hat and submerge it in water. In this case- the river.
Step 3- Push in the top to form the sunk in middle.
Step 4- Form the edges to your liking. Some people like it curled up more on the sides and some like it rounded more in the front and back. It is a personal preference.

Step 5- The final fitting to make sure it fits the way the person desires.

Step 6- Let it dry in the sun and then add embellishments. This hat received a hand-braided rope to decorate it.

Step 7- Ready to wear! Doesn't this groom look awesome in his new hat?
